He was afraid of the start of his prison sentence, "because you hear that something happens in prison from time to time, that there are arguments".

However, he was treated very correctly, although he had one or the other negative experience, as he told the SID.

Ballpoint pens with a camera were smuggled into jail to take pictures of Hoeneß.

"One of the prisoners took a picture of me naked in the shower and tried to sell the material to newspapers," he said.

In 2017, the inmate and his wife were sentenced because of what the media reported at the time.

The photos did not appear in public.

When asked whether there were also positive social contacts, Hoeneß answered in the affirmative to the SID. In prison he earned around 100 euros a month through work and was able to go shopping with it. “The others who didn't work had less. If you needed olive oil for your tomato salad, I was able to help you out. My 100 euros were always gone, although I didn't even need half of it myself, ”he looked back. In the end, his sentence was halved for exemplary behavior. He no longer has any contacts from his prison days, as the SID interview shows, even if he would have liked to keep one or the other up. In any case, he has not lost his clear opinion on issues that concern FC Bayern and society during this time.

So Hoeneß positions itself clearly when it comes to opponents regarding the corona vaccination.

Most recently, he threw an unvaccinated Schafkopf teammate out of his house.
