The visa issue has led to a problem regarding Novak Djokovic's entry into Australia ahead of this month's Grand Slam in Melbourne.
The tennis player received permission from the Grand Slam organizers to participate even though he is not vaccinated against the corona virus, but when he tried to enter with a visa that does not include an exemption without vaccinated, he encountered a problem.
In Serbia, Djokovic is reported to be in custody.
He is stuck in one room, without his cell phone and under the guard of two policemen without the ability to talk to any of his staff.

Djokovic's team applied for the wrong kind of visa, and at the airport border checkpoint contacted the Government of Victoria, the Australian state where the tournament takes place, and the government did not approve the Serb's visa.
The decision reflects the anger among senior administration officials in Victoria towards the unvaccinated actor.
While in Australia it is estimated that Djokovic will eventually enter the country, the unpleasant issue delayed him at the airport for some time at night.

The incumbent sports minister tweeted: "The federal government asked if we could allow Djokovic to enter the country with his visa, and we did not. We were always clear about two things: visa visas are a matter for the federal government, medical exceptions are a matter for doctors."
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison addressed the issue even before Djokovic landed in the country, saying: "If the documents he presents are unsatisfactory, he may board the next plane on the way home. He will not be treated differently by anyone and there should be no special rules for him. ".
