Werder Bremen's former coach Markus Anfang admitted to the Bremen public prosecutor's office that he had used a forged vaccination certificate in order to continue to play in the Bundesliga.
The reason that Anfang said he did not get vaccinated was because his father died of a heart condition and he was afraid of complications as a result of the vaccination.
In court he did not say where the falsified document began from.
Because he has made a confession, a public hearing is unlikely.
Instead, it is possible that a judicial penalty order will be issued.
The beginning was on November 20, a few hours before the home game against FC Schalke 04 (1: 1), as Werder Bremen's coach resigned.
The prosecution's investigation into a forged vaccination certificate against him had previously become known.
The beginning had not yet commented on the procedure.
