Because of the uncertainties related to the Covid, the League has decided to postpone a match to 6 p.m. on Sunday during the month of January.

The Top 14 will be played in the late afternoon on Sunday.

The authorities have taken the decision, in agreement with the broadcaster, to postpone one of the meetings from Saturday afternoon to Sunday, 6 p.m.

They will then have a back-up solution if the Sunday match at 9 p.m. was canceled due to an outbreak of the epidemic.

The League justified its decision in a press release.

“In the health context which poses risks to the progress of matches and in agreement with the broadcaster Canal +, the Bureau of the National Rugby League has decided to set up specific Top 14 programming for the month of January 2022 »

This week, it is the Toulon-La Rochelle meeting which should take this new niche.

This opposition is not without risks, while a cancellation seems plausible in view of the cases in the Toulon workforce.

Pau-Clermont should be the other meeting at this beach on the next day, Sunday 30.
