Danny Abdia speaks after the victory on his birthday (video editing: Nir Chen)

One of the stormy games of the season in the NBA was recorded tonight (Thursday-Friday), precisely between two relatively disappointing teams, which did not live up to expectations. The Knicks hosted the Celtics at Madison Square Garden, and even without R.J. Barrett's crazy winning basket, with a three on the buzzer (using the board) that gave the New York team a 105-108 victory, tonight provided plenty of action.

It started with the behavior of Julius Randall, who seemed very dissatisfied with the fans of his team. For two quarters the Knicks struggled and looked on the road to another loss, and as the difference peaked at 25 the crowd began to whistle contempt for the players. In the fourth quarter, when the comeback was almost complete with another basket of his, Randall went down to the defense and addressed the crowd cheering him with a gesture of disappointment, with the thumb down.

After the game ended in victory, Randall who scored 22 points and dropped 8 rebounds, still had a hard time hiding his anger towards the fans.

"What was I trying to signal to them? That fucking would shut up," he fired.

"You saw what happened when we were behind. You saw it. So that's what I wanted to tell them after we made a comeback."

Randall shows much less good ability than his peak season last year, and has been criticizing the demanding New York fans for the past week, saying "I do not mind them thinking. They do not understand the game like me, none of them know the game like me, so I'm there M ** for what they say, and think only about the game. " According to Randall, it was a special victory - but not because of the support and enthusiasm of the crowd, but "because we did it all ourselves, we scratched it with a lot of character".

Owen Fournier with a career-high 41 points including 10 3-pointers, explained that "Julius is emotional in everything he does. Apparently he was not happy with the contempt of the crowd, but for me it is not a big deal. I can understand him, because he invests all "So much, giving so much of himself, and when it doesn't work, it's just frustrating. Julius is the face of this franchise, he's the star, and he's obviously going to get more criticism from everyone. I think he understands that ...".

The dramatic ending left the Celtics helpless again, with another close game ending in a loss.

Overall, Boston stands on a dismal balance of 11 losses and two wins in close games this season.

It was the fourth time this season that the team drops an advantage of 19 points or more, the most in the league by a large margin.

Now the horror coach Odoka is also starting to get tired, and he no longer spares criticism from his players.

"I think we suffer from a lack of mental toughness. We are not able to get through difficult moments in the game," he explained.

"Here's a silly loss, there a bad shot, there a lack of concentration on defense, and then you just lose ... it's an unpleasant feeling."

Udoka implicitly criticized the senior players on the team such as Jason Taitum (who actually demonstrated winemaking with a basket that established a tie with two seconds left), Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart, explaining that "we lack a reassuring presence on the pitch. It happens to us over and over again. "We can not figure out how to maintain our advantage, we do not stop the momentum of the opponent in time. It is very frustrating."
