Spanish player Rafael Nadal qualified for the semi-finals of the Melbourne Tennis Championships, after his Dutch opponent, Talon Grixpur, withdrew from the match before it started at Rod Laver Arena.
Nadal will face in the semi-finals Finnish Emil Rossovoori, a member of Rafa Nadal's academy, who has not faced him before.
Yesterday, Nadal returned to the singles competitions after an absence of nearly 6 months, and beat Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania 6-2, 7-5, as part of his preparations for the Australian Grand Prix.
