For the 50-year-old Goodes, this will be the fourth team in his career as head coach.
He started it at Maccabi Rishon Lezion, continued at Hapoel Jerusalem and from there to Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he also served as an assistant coach for many years.
In 2018 he returned to Rishon Lezion and led the team to two Final Four finals and successes in the state cup as well, but this season the team failed and the wine city decided to say goodbye to him at the end of an ugly saga.
At the same time, Goodes was appointed a few months ago to replace Oded Katash in the Israeli national team, and in the first window of the national team led it to victories over Poland at home and Estonia away.
A new chapter begins at Hapoel Holon.

Hapoel Holon started the season well under Maurizio Buscalia, but in the last month there has been a setback in the team's ability, which has also made changes to the squad.
Last Wednesday, the Purples lost the first game of the play-in series against Shiktash, and as mentioned, next week they will play the second game against the Turks away.
Yesterday, Holon chose to use its option to postpone a game in the league, after a verified player was discovered on the end of the bench, and will not play against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Sunday.
