The guard (25, 1.91) who has played just two games this season for the Spaniards should be the reinforcement of the Yellows, after in recent years playing little in the NBA and excelling in the development league.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is close to adding American guard Kyrie Thomas, who is currently playing in Spanish Bilbao.
The Yellows have signed Thomas after a large number of candidates were on the agenda, and are in talks with the player and the team in which he has only managed to play two games since joining them at the end of November.

Thomas (25, 1.91) is a graduate of Creighton University who won the Big East Defensive Player of the Year title in 2017 and 2018. He was drafted into the NBA a year before graduating, was selected 38th by Philadelphia and sent draft to Detroit in the media with little to play for two years and spent most of the period on the development team. In November 2020 he was sent to Atlanta on a trade and released from the media, when before the start of the 2020/21 season in the NBA he signed with the San Antonio development team. In May 2021 he won a short contract in the Houston uniform and recorded five great games with 16.4 points, 5 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game. He signed a multi-year contract with the Rockets, but was released last October. In November he moved to Bilbao, managed to play in the media two games in which he scored 12 points per game.
At the same time as efforts to strengthen Maccabi are waiting for the final results of the PCR tests they conducted yesterday, when currently three players of the team are verified for Corona.
At this stage, Maccabi tends not to cancel the league game against Nes Ziona, but a final decision will be made by Saturday evening.
At the same time the team have not yet received notice of the postponement of the home game against Alba Berlin on Wednesday.
The German team is making efforts to get eight players and hold the game, and a decision will be made earlier this week.
The game against Panathinaikos on Friday in Greece is expected to take place unless there is another outburst among the Yellows or Greeks.
