After long weeks of searching, it seems that Maccabi Tel Aviv has found the reinforcement for the back line and is close to signing guard Kyrie Thomas.
Thomas (25, 1.91) is a graduate of Creighton University who won the Big East Defensive Player of the Year title in 2017 and 2018.
In 2018 he was selected 38th by Philadelphia and sent in a draft to Detroit in the media and played little for two years and spent most of his time in the G-League.
He was then traded to Atlanta in which he did not play in the trade.
Last season he played for the San Antonio Spurs development team and in the middle of the season he signed for Houston and excelled in five games that earned him a long contract with the Rockets but at the beginning of the current season he was released.
Last November he joined Bilbao and scored an average of 12 points in two games in the Spanish league before being injured.
After returning to practice and according to sources he is expected to be fit in the coming weeks.
