Barcelona defender Eric Garcia has been out for months due to an injury.
The Spanish club explained in a statement that the first-team player was injured yesterday during the Barcelona match against Granada, noting that the tests that were conducted for him today showed that he suffers from a right thigh injury and that the estimated period of his absence from the stadiums will be five weeks.
Barcelona occupies sixth place in the table of the Spanish Premier League, with 32 points from 20 games played, a large difference from leaders Real Madrid, who has 49 points from 21 games.
