Cameroon defeated its guest Burkina Faso 2-1 in the opening match of the 33rd African Cup of Nations.
Burkina Faso opened the scoring through its player Gustavo Sangare in the 24th minute, before Vincent Aboubacar scored the Cameroon double from two penalty kicks in the 40th and 47th minutes of the match.
With this result, Cameroon tops Group A, which includes Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Cape Verde, after winning the first 3 points in its African Cup of Nations campaign.
