Milan won a big victory today against its host, Venice, 3-0 in the 21st round of the Italian League, to take the lead temporarily.
Veteran Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring for Milan in the third minute, ending the first half with a 1-0 lead.
With the start of the second half, Frenchman Theo Hernandez added the second goal in the 48th minute, to come back and score the third goal from a penalty kick in the 58th minute.
With this victory, Milan raised its score to 48 points from 21 games, to rise to the top, two points ahead of its closest rivals Inter Milan, who played 19 games, while Venice's balance stopped at 17 points in 16th place.
