Even at the age of 40, Zlatan Ibrahimović is a striker with remarkable odds: His 1-0 in the second minute at FC Venice was his eighth goal in the 13th league game of the season.
And what's more: The Swede scored a league goal in the 3-0 away win of his AC Milan for the 24th year in a row.
The series started on October 30, 1999 when he scored for Malmö FF in the top division of his home country for the first time.
Since then he has scored goals for Ajax in the Netherlands, Juventus, Inter and Milan in Italy, FC Barcelona in Spain, Paris Saint-Germain in France, Manchester United in England and LA Galaxy in the USA.
When AC won in Venice, Theo Hernández scored two and three for the Milanese, Ibrahimović was substituted in the 73rd minute by Olivier Giroud.
Cuisance debut with defeat
Venice are the 125th league opponent against whom Ibrahimović has scored a goal.
The hosts, where the ex-Bayern professional Michaël Cuisance made his midfield debut, is still just ahead of the relegation places.
AC Milan take the lead in the standings, but have played two more games than their local rivals with a two-point lead over Inter.
