In addition to Washington and Danny Abdia's victory over the Orlando Magic, eight more games were played tonight in the NBA, with Clay Thompson's comeback focus on the Golden State victory over Cleveland, and the Lakers' winning streak stopped by JA Morant and Memphis.
Golden State (9:30) - Cleveland (18:22) 82:96
After more than two and a half years out due to two frustrating injuries, Clay Thompson just could not wait another minute.
Already after 40 seconds in his return game he scored the first basket and signaled - I'm here again.
Thompson finished with 17 points, 7 of 18 from the field of which 3 of 8 from outside the arc.
He also had 3 rebounds, an assist and a 20-minute steal on the floor.
The big moment for him was towards the end of the second quarter with a huge and not particularly typical dunk that left the crowd with their mouths open.
Shortly afterwards he scored a first three-pointer in a game that raised him to 12,000,000 points in his career.
Early in the third quarter he scored 3 shots in a row, including his 1,800 three-pointer in the NBA.
Steph Kerry scored 29 points, and Jordan Paul added 14 for the Warriors, who stopped a streak of two losses and equalized for Phoenix with the best balance in the league - 9:30.

LA Lakers (20:21) - Memphis (14:28) 127: 119
Do not let the close result lie to you, it was a one-sided game of the Grizzlies, who extended their winning streak to nine - a franchise record.
Ja Morant scored 16 points and added a breathtaking block on Avery Bradley, en route to a win at Staples Center.
Desmond Bain led with 23 points, Jaren Jackson added 21 and 6 blocks (!) In the 12th win of Memphis' 13 away games this season.
