The trade window in the NBA will close next month, and most league teams are looking for reinforcements ahead of the final straightening of the season.
Unlike most, some of the league’s bottom teams may give up senior players in favor of future assets, and one of them is the Detroit Pistons, from 14th place in the East.

The Pistons' forward, Jeremy Grant, is "one of the most sought-after players in the transfer window," stated journalist Shams Charania of Athletic.
According to Charania, four teams are particularly interested in the 27-year-old forward: the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers and also Danny Abdia's Washington Wizards.
Grant was absent last month due to a finger injury, but is due to return to the pitches before the transfer deadline, on 10.2.
Grant's salary for the current season and next season is estimated at $ 21 million, and this summer he will be entitled to a contract extension of $ 112 million for four seasons starting in the summer of 2023. If and when Grant, who averages 20.1 points per night, eventually moves to Washington, Some of the forwards in the team's current squad will likely be in place, including Abdia.

Aside from the Israeli, the Wizards have a long list of forwards including Kyle Kozma, Davis Bartans, Corey Kispert and Roy Hachimura, who made his season debut last night (Sunday through Monday) in a win over Orlando after missing the season opener.
Due to the depth of the position, it is likely that at least one player from the list will move to Detroit as part of the deal.
After the win over Orlando, Washington is ranked ninth in the East with a 20:20 balance, and after a good season opener it wants to get back on track and get a playoff ticket for the second time in a row.
The Pistons, on the other hand, are unlikely to compete for entry into the playoffs, so giving up a 27-year-old player who is at his peak in exchange for future assets may turn out to be the right move for them, certainly given the demand the player has.
Abdia, mainly due to his young age and potential, may be considered a future asset that could be used to bring in a star like Grant.
