Novak Djokovic responded today (Monday) for the first time to his storm and arrest in Australia in a Twitter tweet.
As stated, the status of the Serb in the country is not yet definitively known, as the Victoria Government still has some authority to overturn its decision of the court regarding the acceptance of his Serb appeal.
"I am happy and grateful that the judge approved my visa," the world number one wrote.
"Despite everything that has happened, I want to stay and try to compete in Australia. I stay focused on that. I flew here to play in one of the most important events we have in front of the amazing fans."
To the fans who supported him, he said: "Right now I can not say more than that, but thank you all for standing with me in all this and encouraging me to stay strong."
