The lions are allowed to put their feet up until Tuesday and recover from the hardships of Belek.

And then?

The course is set - in five games within 16 days.

The Belek Lions have been back in the Munich winter since Saturday noon. General tenor: The six-day trip was a complete success, not only because of the 3-1 victory in the endurance test against Hansa Rostock, but also because a new team spirit emerged in the five-star isolation bubble of the “Sueno Deluxe”. The simple recipe: If there is no distraction from outside, you just move together internally, train intensively, play games evenings - and let the week end in style. "With a nice team evening, as it should be for a football team," said coach Michael Köllner, who announced: "We'll have a beer together."

But the most urgent Belek goal was to equip the team for the demanding new start.

For five competitive games within 16 days, which Köllner summarizes under the term "great January".

Again to take notes.

It starts on Saturday with the league home game against Wiesbaden, three days later the DFB Cup hit against KSC and on January 22nd in the Olympic Stadium the derby against Türkgücü, which also benefited from the good Belek conditions (and the Turkish Second division team Eskisehirspor defeated 2-0 thanks to a Sarar double pack).

The second English week immediately afterwards is not without it.

It brings the home duel with Kaiserslautern on January 25th - and the away trip to Viktoria Köln on January 30th.

In the end, it always comes down to the question: What is the best solution for 1860?

Trainer Michael Köllner.

To be completed with an unchanged squad (currently no newcomers in sight), but a new tailwind, which already blew in the victories in Dortmund (2-0) and Würzburg (3-0).

The final cutting of the cord from ex-captain Sascha Mölders - it was successful because Köllner adapted the game system and restored the cabin climate.

The trainer admits that both of these things cost him to "break up with Sascha" as well as the tactical consequence of "standing in the back with ten men".

In the end, however, the question is always: "What is the best solution for 1860?"

Offensively, Köllner's hope rests on Stefan Lex and Marcel Bär, the new double top, already celebrated as a dream duo.

"I do think that the two can do the job as they did in the last games," said the coach: "I don't see what could be wrong with it."

And what speaks against the fact that the lions now roll up the field from behind, as some fans who were there in Belek expect?

“I don't know whether we should declare a hunting season,” says Köllner, for whom the talk about promotion comes too early: “We want to get great results and then we'll see what is possible.

It is crucial that you are there in the final phase - and maybe be able to create a cup surprise.

That's why the next games are important. "
