Egyptian tennis player Mayar Sherif called out from the first round of the Adelaide Championships in Australia.
According to Sky Sports, Sherif, ranked 63 in the world, lost to Russian player Lyudmila Samsonova, ranked 39, in two sets without a response, 7-6, 6-4.
Sherif, 25, is preparing to participate in the Australian Open, one of the four major tennis tournaments, which begins on the 17th of this month.
