After the farce in which Elitzur Tel Aviv players were forced to report for the game against the Herzliya girls, the administration decided to postpone the meetings until the number of players confirmed for the corona virus was reduced.

The chairman of the Athena Wiener Women's Basketball League, Hila Knister Bar-David, and the director of operations, Rami Katzoni, decided today (Tuesday) to postpone the upcoming round games (the 15th round), until the number of players confirmed for the Korna virus is reduced.

Yesterday it became clear that there is a high number of verified players and in light of disagreements between the team chairmen and themselves in a number of halls where they seemed to have created chaos when some came to halls with verified players despite the ban.

As you may recall, yesterday Elitzur Tel Aviv was required to report for the game against the Herzliya girls, even though two of its players came out positive for Corona in a home test, due to the fact that from the principal's point of view, only PCR tests are considered acceptable.

In the game itself, 24 offenses were committed within 5:07 minutes, so the Tel Aviv team did not have enough players to continue the game.

"Kneister Bar David and officers have decided to postpone the next round according to Article 1B of Chapter 6 of the Rules of Procedure, which allows for the postponement of a league round due to events and incidents that do not serve the league rules, out of concern for players' health and staff," the official statement said.
