Prominent winter transfer in the women's Bundesliga
Eintracht Frankfurt has signed national soccer player Sara Doorsoun from runner-up VfL Wolfsburg.
The 30-year-old defender, who was actually still tied to VfL until June 2023, signed a contract with the Hessians for the same term.
Doorsoun moved from SGS Essen to Wolfsburg in summer 2018.
There she was used 45 times in the Bundesliga, 20 times in the Champions League and seven times in the DFB-Pokal.
She won the championship twice and the cup three times.
Doorsoun wants to increase their EM chances with the change.
"I've been thinking about what my next step could be, after I couldn't play that often recently and want to be part of the DFB team at the European Championships in the summer," said the Cologne native: "Eintracht is for it exactly the right station. "
