Danny Abdia with Washington Wizards fans (from the Wizards' Twitter)
At a good and successful time, Washington reached the halfway point of the regular season with a positive balance. The Wizards recorded a second straight win tonight (Tuesday through Wednesday), beating Oklahoma City 118: 122 and starting the eight-game straight-leg home game, despite faltering and struggling. As in many cases this season, this time too the Wes Ansald Jr. players have risen and won in Money Time with clutch moves, and their balance in close games now stands at just 17 wins and 4 losses.
Without Bradley Bill entering the Corona Protocol for the second time this season following a borderline test result he did, it was again Kyle Kozma, Spencer Dinwiddie and Cantabius Caldwell Pop who took the reins. Kozma continued his excellent personal fitness with 29 points (12 of 17 from the field) alongside 5 rebounds, Dinvidi had 22 alongside 10 assists, and Coldwell Pop added 16, including the game’s crucial basket - a three with the board breaking a tie with half a minute left.
For Danny Abdia, it was another deceptive night.
The Wizards celebrated a Jewish heritage evening with him, held a special ceremony for him at the end of the game and took care to populate the stands with Jews who would push him, but professionally the Israeli continued to decline in minutes and productivity, given the number of forwards in the roster since Roy Hachimura returned.
Abdia settled for 18 minutes during which he scored 7 points (3 of 4 from the field including 1 of 2 of three), two rebounds, a steal and two fouls, once again rarely being involved in the offense and coming in mostly to complete point-by-point defensive tasks.
Overall, since Hachimura's comeback two games ago, Abdia has dropped to just 15 minutes on average, and the numbers are dropping accordingly.

The game was tight throughout, with the Thunder, the worst offensive team in the league, not having a hard time against Washington's soft defense and not allowing it to escape.
OKC went down to the break even with a three-point advantage, but the second half was under the control of the home team, which, as mentioned, rose as usual in the last minutes.
Shay Gilges Alexander left the Thunder within touching distance, but then came the aforementioned Caldwell Pop's crucial three-pointer, followed by a free-kick from Kozma that closed out a final interest.
Aside from Kozma, Dinwiddie and Coldwell Pop, Corey Kispert and Monterz Harrell who came out of the Corona Protocol also finished in double digits at Washington and scored 12 each.
On the other hand, OKC enjoyed mostly good ability from Shay Gilges Alexander who starred with 32 points and 8 assists.
Rookie Josh Gidi continued to show sparks with 18 and 8 assists of his own.

In the bottom line, the Wizards rise to a balance of 20:21, and hope to achieve a third consecutive victory in the next game against Orlando, which will take place next night.
