At the weekend, little Mitterskirchen was firmly in Erdinger's hands.
The 2000-strong community in the Rottal-Inn district was the scene of the Bavarian and German long-distance shooting championships.
Erding - As reported, Felix Karpfinger from Erdingen won gold and silver. Antonia Meindl from SC Schwindkirchen became Bavarian U19 champion. She prevailed against nine competitors. Her first shot was the decisive one, the distance of 63.62 meters could not be surpassed by any other competitor in the further course. “I'm someone who often puts too much pressure on myself and then I go from one bad shot to the next. I try to get rid of this bad habit and go positively into every shot. "
It definitely worked at the Bavarian championship, she says. “I was positive from the first shot. I shivered until the end, but it was enough for first place. ”Incidentally, her second best attempt would have been enough for the title. With 61.75 m, she cracked the 60 mark again, which none of the competitors managed to do. Team colleague Lisa Daumoser made the pleasing result of SC Schwindkirchen perfect. She finished sixth and qualified for the DM.
Two age groups higher for women, Meindl, who is a member of the Unterneukirchen training group under the former BEV wide warden Christoph Neugirg, came in fifth. “Here, too, I was completely satisfied with my performance.” This time she had brought the stick to 63.01 meters in the third attempt. Daumoser (52.47 m) finished eighth.
The next day, Meindl only finished ninth in the German championship. “I didn't get a nice shot, my print run wasn't good. In the meantime, I had my concerns, but thanks to my trainer and colleague, I didn't let myself be pulled down and made up a place in the last shot. I had hoped for better, but then I am satisfied. ”In the fifth attempt she had improved from 54.55 to 61.17 m. Daumoser (50.42 m) finished eleventh.
Another reward Meindl for the weekend in Mitterskirchen: the right to participate in the qualification course for the World Cup.
