German Olympic hope is looking for a “ski instructor” - and has just received an offer from the Austrian legend

At first things didn't go as planned throughout the tour, then came the bitter moment in the team competition: Karl Geiger reacts ironically.

Bischofshofen - Even in Bischofshofen, the German winter sportsman Karl Geiger couldn't win the Four Hills Tournament.

The German jump hope had to admit defeat in the third and fourth jumping.

The Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi took not only the day's victory in the third competition, but also the overall standings.

The fourth competition was won by Daniel Huber.

So the time had come for the DSV-Adler to win the team competition on the following weekend?

Not even close.

Coach Stefan Horngacher's favorite team was able to bury their hopes for victory at the end of the first round.

Karl Geiger fell after his jump.

The competition didn't fail, and so the gap could no longer be made up.

Karl Geiger reacted at least ironically to the error when extending and even showed a picture of the fall on his Instagram account.

He wrote: “Look for a ski instructor for safe skiing.

Things didn't go according to plan today.

Fortunately nothing happens, ”writes the German Olympic hope, who wants to win medals for Germany between February 4th and 20th in Beijing.

When he asked about a ski instructor, the Austrian legend Gregor Schlierenzauer answered.

Schlierenzauer has now ended his career and offers Geiger: “I'm ready.

Just report and take Eisei (Geiger's team-mate Markus Eisenbichler, editor's note) with you.

We make the first trip on cross-country skis. "

Geiger immediately accepted the offer and provided it with laughing emojis.

And who knows, maybe Geiger can get some tips from Schlierenzauer one way or another.

The Austrian won once gold in the 2010 team competition in Vancouver, and twice bronze in the individual.

And in 2014 in Sochi, Schlierenzauer and his colleagues were able to celebrate silver together.

Geiger “only” has the silver medal from Pyeongchang 2018 at home.

He may soon be expanding his collection.
