The Winter Games in Beijing continue to give us strange stories.
Apart from of course the corona panic in the country, there are those who think that the Chinese might even spy on the athletes who will participate in the Olympics.
A report in the Telegraph reveals that the British Olympic Committee demanded that representatives of the British delegation to China not bring their personal telephones with them for fear of espionage.
In fact, the British Committee will provide athletes with alternative devices with which they can use the country during the days of competitions.
If so, representatives will be given the choice of whether to indeed follow this line or despite everything, yes to take their personal devices.
The British precaution comes a month after Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed that the country was taking a diplomatic boycott of the Games, due to human rights issues stemming in part from the disappearance of tennis player Feng Shui.
