Three years have passed since Maccabi Netanya's victory on penalties over Hapoel Beer Sheva in the eighth finals of the State Cup.
The recovery almost took place tonight when the game between the teams was on the way to the penalties, but a few seconds before the whistle for the end of 120 minutes, Sagiv Yehezkel scored and sent BS to the final moment.
The game in Netanya was messy, with a lot of situations, a lot of mistakes, an own goal, a goal from the movies, in short a crazy game.
Each half or each extension had its own story.
So let's try to make some order.
Anyone who saw Netanya in the first half remembers the first games of the season for Bnei Lem on the lines.
The Diamonds pressed high, played with a touch, created endless situations, and had to score at least one more goal but they were naive, as usual, and settled for an own goal by Iyad Abu Abid.
BS seemed miserable in the first half. It did not exist and the feeling was that it was a direct continuation of the weak display in the loss against Maccabi Tel Aviv, but in the second half Beer Sheva appeared completely different, which reached good situations against Danny Amos, who saw a huge missile by Itai Schechter penetrate the top net. In addition to BS's improvement, we also received dozens of losses and mistakes in this half that do not suit both teams.
The game went into overtime and Netanya tried in the first minutes of the first overtime to get the winning goal but its situations were furry.
When the game looked finished and on the way to the penalties, just like three years ago, Sagiv Yehezkel arrived who received a depth ball, penetrated the field and scored a dramatic winning goal for Roni Levy's team.
