German club Borussia Moenchengladbach announced the signing of Marvin Friedrich, defender of Union Berlin, until 2026.
The club explained in a statement on its official website that the contract with Friedrich, the 26-year-old, during the current winter transfer period came to replace international defender Matthias Ginter, who will leave the team once his contract expires at the end of the current season.
Friedrich began his career at Schalke 04 before playing in Augsburg, then joined Union Berlin in 2018, and was promoted to the Bundesliga the following year, knowing that his contract with the team extended until the end of the current season.
