As an interim coach, he led VfB Hallbergmoos to 17th place in the Bavarian League.

Peter Beierkuhnlein is now looking for a new challenge.

Hallbergmoos

- Peter Beierkuhnlein has now officially left VfB Hallbergmoos.

Sporting director Anselm Küchle announced that the club and the player have terminated the existing agreement.

The 33-year-old leaves with an unknown destination.

Before the 2019/21 promotion season, Beierkuhnlein joined VfB as a regular for the regional division SV Heimstetten.

In Hallbergmoos he took over the position of co-player-coach and thus made the first step for the time after his active career.

The central defender played a total of 34 games (two goals), but only made nine appearances this season due to an injury.

Beierkuhnlein coached VfB to three wins in a row

After separating from Gedi Sugzda, Beierkuhnlein took over the team as interim coach for the last five games until the winter break.

After two narrow defeats, he won three wins in a row with VfB and led the promoted team from last place to relegation rank 17.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The VfB then arranged the coup with the former professional Matthias Strohmaier and put together a new three-person coaching team.

So it was actually clear that two steps back into the role of a normal player would be dangerous for both sides.

Acquired a taste

The fact is: Beierkuhnlein really wanted to work as a trainer and demonstrated his qualifications in Hallbergmoos.

Therefore, inquiries from clubs should only be a matter of time.

The 33-year-old is open to everything and has not yet decided whether he will ever be a player in the men's division again.
