The referee of the Tunisia-Mali match (0-1), who whistled the end of the match too early on two occasions on Wednesday, would have been the victim of sunstroke.
It is that Essam Abdel-Fatah, boss of the referees, would have indicated to a journalist: Janny Sikazwe was victim of a heatstroke which made him lose his concentration.
He was reportedly taken to hospital after the meeting for examinations.
The officials had also decided to resume the match with the 4th referee rather than Sikazwe.
