Olympic star is dead: he was only 29 years old

Deon Lendore is dead. The 2012 bronze medalist was killed in a car accident in the United States.
Texas - Athletics mourns Deon Lendore: The 400 m sprinter from Trinidad and Tobago died at the age of 29.
The World Athletics Federation confirmed this on Tuesday.
Lendore, who won bronze in the 4 × 400 relay in London in 2012 and was runner-up in 2015, was killed in a car accident in Texas, according to a report by the Guardian.
Lendore took part in the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 and most recently in Tokyo when he made it to the semifinals.
"Words cannot adequately express our grief over the devastating and premature loss," said a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee.
Just recently, a professional soccer player was also killed in a car accident.
