Talking to Amiri before moving to Genoa, Labbadia

The bottom of the table in Serie A, CFC Genoa 1893, is said to be interested in Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Nadiem Amiri, 25, according to a report by TV broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The offensive midfielder is already in the northern Italian city for a medical check-up.

Under Leverkusen's coach Gerardo Seoane, Amiri had hardly played a role this season and was only in the starting line-up three times.

Amiri could meet another former Leverkusen man in Genoa.

Bruno Labbadia, 55, is to replace Andrei Shevchenko as coach for the troubled Italian first division soccer team.

This is what the Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The former world-class striker Shevchenko is facing the end of the table penultimate after only two months in the job.

Labbadia, who was released from Hertha BSC Berlin in early 2021, is the favorite of German sports director Johannes Spors, according to the report.

Another candidate is Pal Dardai, who was recently dismissed as a coach at Hertha.

Klopp is confident Mo Salah will stay in Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has been positive about his stay at Liverpool FC.

In an interview with GQ magazine, Salah said, “I want to stay, but it's out of my hands.

You know what i want.

I don't ask about crazy things, ”said the 29-year-old attacker.

According to English media reports, Salah is demanding a weekly salary of 300,000 pounds (around 360,000 euros).

Even if the talks between Salah and the club are still pending, his coach Jürgen Klopp was confident about his stay on Merseyside.

A contract extension will take time, said Klopp.

But he trusts Salah to maintain his top level even in old age.

The national player of Egypt, who is currently at the Africa Cup in Cameroon, is an "unbelievable player, a great boy" who has done a lot for Liverpool.

Salah moved from AS Roma to Liverpool in the summer of 2017 for 42 million euros.

With the Reds, he triumphed in the Champions League in 2019.

Two years ago, under Klopp, he won the club's first championship since 1990. In the Premier League, he has twice been named top scorer.
