Türkgücü Munich's game at Hallescher FC has been cancelled.

Several players at the Munich third division team tested positive for the corona virus.

– The corona virus continues to cast its shadow over German professional football.

Türkgücü Munich's game at Hallescher FC on January 15 has been cancelled.

This was announced by President Hasan Kivran's club in a press release.

According to the club, several Türkgücü players are in quarantine.

Andreas Heraf's team currently has fewer than 16 eligible players.

The basis for the cancellation is paragraph 15 of the implementation regulations for the DFB game regulations.

Türkgücü Munich: Derby in danger next week?

So far it was only known that defense chief Mergin Mavraj had contracted the corona virus.

Another series of tests apparently led to several positive tests.

The club did not disclose which players were involved.

A date for the catch-up game has not yet been set.

The corona outbreak at Türkgücü is also interesting for TSV 1860 Munich.

Next week, the lions will meet their local rivals in the derby in the Grünwalder Stadion.

It is not yet clear whether the game can take place as planned.

In addition, on matchday 21 of the third division, the matches between FSV Zwickau and Viktoria Köln and Viktoria Berlin and Eintracht Braunschweig were also canceled due to quarantine orders in the wake of corona cases.
