As a 20-year-old player in the Attachingen district league team, Sebastian Aigner is no stranger.

Freising

– Because at the BCA in recent years, very young players have often been raised directly into the first and second teams.

But the defensive specialist has some qualities that come as a surprise at his age.

That's why his coach Enes Mehmedovic says:

"For me, his absolute will, his commitment and his intelligent way of playing already make him a leader on the pitch.

Attaching will have a lot of fun with him and he's a player who can definitely be captained later on."

The one who was so praised was born in Munich on May 22, 2001 and spent his childhood in Hallbergmoos.

It was there that his passion for football began.

Together with his dad, who himself actively laced his football shoes for Deisenhofen, among other things, he played football in the garden or, if necessary, in the children's room when he was still in kindergarten.

The first visit to the stadium was already on the agenda at the age of three.

At that time together with the dad in Unterhaching, where the SpVgg is still the favorite club of father and son.

In youth from SEF to Attaching

Sebastian Aigner switched from Hallbergmoos to SE Freising when he was still a youngster. Shortly thereafter, his parents also moved to the cathedral city, where the offspring attended the Camerloher Gymnasium from then on. In terms of football, the next change was after the C youth. Along with some teammates, the offensive player switched to BC Attaching. "There I was, then more on the defensive. In the B and A youth I was already a central defender and a six, although the midfield position is a lot of fun for me. You can intervene more in the game and create something yourself, it's just more fun on the six," says the 20-year-old, describing his favorite position.

At the BCA, Aigner spent four beautiful and very successful youth years and was allowed to play at the same time as an 18-year-old at the first. "The men's football is different and you learn a lot more there. It's much more physical, the duels are harder and you have less time, ”analyzes the attaching man with shirt number 8.

Since his early youth, the 1.80 meter tall defensive specialist has not only been busy with his own game, but also excessively with tactical analyses, questions of team philosophy and potential for improvement on and off the pitch.

After graduating from high school, he spent two months abroad at the English elite university in Loughborough to learn about the training content in other leagues.

So it's no wonder that Sebastian has added the component "leading out from behind" to his role as a successful duel, who is supposed to intervene in the front and support the build-up of the game.

Role model Kimmich

The business administration student names Joshua Kimmich as a role model, whose mentality, duel behavior and the way he creates opportunities he admires. The business administration degree at the LMU was not his Plan A and was partly due to the Corona circumstances. A degree in England or at the Cologne Sports University or a career as a pilot would have been higher in the ranking, says the Haching fan. However, the future career aspiration is clearly a job in management or working with young people at a professional club.

The new holder of the B trainer's license is planning the B Plus license next year and would also be interested in the A license in the future. He finds his job as a coach extremely exciting and it's fun to be in charge and make decisions, says the 20-year-old. "I don't think there's anything more to come for me as a player in the direction of professional football, that's when the train left, but that's not a problem for me. It would be great to play in the state or Bavarian leagues again. At the moment, however, the goal with Attaching is to play at the top of the district league and to rise with the many young players and then to establish oneself.

In addition to football, the student regularly visits the gym and likes to ski or snowboard in winter. On the pitch, the referees quite often reward his snappy duel behavior with yellow cards. Attaching's number 8 could sometimes act even more cleverly. Just as in the playful area or when scoring. "But Sebastian is still young, very willing to learn and pulls along extremely well in training, so it will all come," BCA trainer Enes Mehmedovic is certain.
