TSV 1860 Munich - Wehen Wiesbaden -:- (-:-), Saturday, 2 p.m
Munich - Let's go! TSV 1860 Munich is starting the 2022 competitive year, which already has a preliminary highlight on Tuesday (6.30 p.m., here in the live ticker) with the DFB Cup round of 16 against Karlsruher SC for the Löwen. But before the freestyle in the cup competition, the club has to play in the 3rd league - and on Saturday afternoon that means Wehen Wiesbaden.
1860 coach Michael Köllner was optimistic as usual before Giesinger started the second half of the current season. "Sixty against Schalke, that made you want more. 1860 in its pure power. That's also how I see my job: Everyone who is in contact with sixty: next door at the gas station, in a kebab shop, or a Giesinger who lives here but no longer goes to the stadium: they should all get a positive attitude towards life ", said the Upper Palatinate before the game against the Hessians - and said: "In Nuremberg I was able to help an entire region to feel happy. Especially in this Sch... pandemic, it's important that Sixty wins - then there can be a hundred variants for some fans. That's what drives me: that we can have a great January."
TSV 1860 Munich – Wehen Wiesbaden in the live ticker: Michael Köllner is looking forward to January
There are five games for sixty within 16 days.
He can never allow himself three games "in which we don't deliver.
January is really great," Köllner continued: "You can win every game, but you can also lose every game."
Before the aforementioned games in January, the main sponsor “die Bayerische” exerts subtle pressure.
The insurer extended the partnership with TSV 1860 Munich during the winter break - and set the goal of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga* by 2025 at the latest.
He sees the lions at least in the second division in the long term, explained board member Martin Gräfer in an interview with
tz
and
Münchner Merkur
at the end of December : "But absolutely.
Nothing against Würzburg or Havelse, but playing in the same league as HSV, Werder, Schalke or whoever gets stuck there would not only be attractive from a fan point of view, but also for sponsors.
Our contract would be adjusted accordingly, so we would do it again.
However, this should not be taken as pressure.
A promotion would be sensational, but we don't have a clause in it that we can only extend it in three and a half years."
TSV 1860 Munich – Wehen Wiesbaden in the live ticker: Can the lions still tear something in 2021/22?
In this season it should be difficult for TSV 1860 to intervene in the fight for promotion.
Or is there the next miracle from Giesing after the DFB Cup coup against FC Schalke?
