Italian club Genoa announced today the official dismissal of its Ukrainian coach Andriy Shevchenko from coaching the team, just two months after his appointment.
The club confirmed, through its official account on Twitter, that Shevchenko was relieved of his position as technical director and that Abdullah Konko was appointed temporarily until a suitable replacement was found.
Genoa, under the leadership of Shevchenko, has won one victory and drawn in 3 matches, while losing 7 times, as it occupies the penultimate position in the league standings and faces the specter of relegation to the second division.
