FC Türkgücü Erding signed 22 players at once.

Erding – That has never happened before: From the second half of the season, FC Türkgücü Erding has a third team in play.

The Erdinger leisure team FC Intergratione joins Türkgücü with its 22-strong squad.

"We wanted to integrate, now we've been integrated," says Intergratione trainer Rüstü Aydin with a smile about the merger, which somehow makes sense: FC Intergratione, a portmanteau of Inter (Milan) and integration, which was previously in the Munich leisure league Royal Bavarian Liga kicked, was founded in 2019 at the Türkgücü Indoor Gaudi Cup. The one-time thing then turned into regular meetings in the soccer hall or on the football field.

Eventually, the team around organizer Kasim Imamoglu and coach Rüstü Aydin joined the Royal Bavarian League in 2020. And Türkgücü didn't like that - suddenly there was competition. Selcuk Gürel, the man for everything at FC, says: “Suddenly there were two Turkish clubs. And of course, many of the companies or localities that we consider sponsoring were of interest to both of us. Two Turkish clubs are just too much for Erding.”

So there was even a small crisis between the two clubs in the meantime.

"In the beginning we trained on the Türkgücü-Platz in Altenerding," says coach Aydin.

“When Türkgücü found out, they kicked us out.” The right decision for Gürel: “The place is bad and overcrowded anyway.

And then there's another team that wants to train, and most of them aren't even members of us," he says, smiling and holding his index finger to his forehead.

So Integratione trained on different football pitches.

Mintraching and Marzling (Freising district) were mainly rented for home games.

Away, it was mostly to Munich.

A possible merger was always a topic back then. Because more than half of the integration kickers have a Türkgücü past. Coach Aydin was once a player in the second division himself, his cousin Fatih Aydin, a regular player at Intergratione, still has a pass at TGE and helped out in the B class this year. Ex-Türkgücü players and Selcuk Gürel's brother Sezai and his son also play for Intergratione.

It was Fatih Aydin who took the initiative and brought Imamoglu, organizer of the integration, and Bilgehan Pala, chairman of Türkgücü, to one table. Because that way there are only advantages for both sides: Türkgücü gains some new members and increases its attractiveness with three teams in the future. And Intergratione no longer has to play in a leisure league and saves a lot of organizational work by running the BFV league. In addition, the routes in the C class will be significantly shorter and you will be able to play in Erding. Gürel: "Of course we don't get any additional times in the stadium in the middle of the season." That's why the third team will always play away from home in the second half of the season - out of competition.

"We're going to test the whole thing now," says coach Rüstü Aydin, "and next year we'll start with the league games." By the way, Gürel promises that he will remain in office.

The previous organizer Imamoglu also stays, in future he will be the sporting director of the third party.

“The boys have already built something, they have structures.

We don't need to experiment, we'll keep everything," says Gürel.

The main thing is that it stays the same, he thinks: "This team has to be there next season, otherwise we'll make a fool of ourselves."
