2022-01-16T10:47:39.336Z

From the President of Serbia, through Nick Kirius and other tennis players - to journalists • Around the world strengthen the number 1 racket in the world, after being expelled from Australia following his refusal to get vaccinated

The storm surrounding

the federal court's decision to deport Novak Djokovic from Australia

refuses to calm down.

A flood of reactions is filling the net, and many great tennis players around the globe are sending reinforcements

to the world's top racquet.

The one who seems to have taken it the hardest is the President of Serbia, Alexander Vučić, who told the Serbian media that he talked to Djokovic after the court ruling and strengthened him.

"I told him I could not wait for him to come to Serbia, to return to his country, to be where he is always wanted," the president said.

"Abuse the best tennis player for 11 days, and on the 11th day hand over to him the decision made on the first day .."

He accused Australian government lawyers of lying.

"A pointless court proceeding, the prosecution will lie. They are just lying. They say there are less than 50 percent vaccinated in Serbia, and officially the number is 58 percent. Do not forget it is higher than in many EU countries. It was a pointless argument."

Vučić added that Australian athletes would be welcomed in his country, in a much better way than overseas.

"We will treat them properly. Thank you to the Australian people, because I am sure they love Serbs. They think they have humiliated Djokovic, but they have humiliated themselves. He can return to his country and look everyone in the eye with his head held high."

Tennis player Nick Kirius chose to comment and use one small emoji on Twitter, which everyone understands is his message.

Also the Frenchman Eliza Corna, who is currently ranked 61st in the world.

"I know too little to judge the situation. What I do know is that Novak is always the first to stand for the players. But none of us stood by him. Be strong Novak Djokovic."

After a few minutes there were also reactions against her, and she tweeted again: "And ... people, do not call me a vaccine opponent, please."

I know too little to judge the situation.

What I know is that Novak is always the first one to stand for the players.

But none of us stood for him.

The French line also continued with the journalist Carol Bouchard, the tennis reporter for the L'Equipe.

Bouchard tweeted on her Twitter account: "The way Djokovic has been treated since he won the appeal is a shame. He does not pose any threat to Australia, nor does he come to encourage anti-immunization movement. They know this very well.

"And yet, after a week of failing to secure their victory with all the mess, they have chosen a procedure in which no proof should be provided on the basis of what he is accused of. Djokovic is deported for something he can incite in others. Bend the law inconceivably. This is "It's a dark period."

The way Djokovic has been treated since winning the first appeal is an utter disgrace.

He is not a threat to Australia.

He did not come here to excite any unvaxxed movement whatsoever.

They perfectly know it.

Yet after a week of not being able to ensure they'd win on the basis
