Moshe Itzkovich, a 97-year-old Haifa resident and Holocaust survivor, has always supported Maccabi Haifa throughout his life.
Already in his youth, Moshe, who lives in the Kiryat Eliezer neighborhood of the city, used to go to all the team games when the stadium was located in the neighborhood.
Even when Moshe had grandchildren, he used to take them regularly with him to games, in order to instill in them the love for the team.
After Moshe lost his entire family during the Holocaust, Moshe has experienced another severe crisis over the past year, having also lost his wife and two children.
Over the years, Moshe began to minimize exits from his home, and the only dream he had left was to meet players of his favorite team.
Moshe's granddaughter, Sarah, who remained for him the only close person and always made sure to update her grandfather on what was going on in the team and the results of its games, decided to take up the gauntlet and initiate a meeting that would encourage and cheer him up.

a dream come true,
Today (Sunday) in the afternoon, Haifa Mayor Einat Klish Rotem arrived at the home of Moshe, along with two former players of the Maccabi Haifa team - Zahi Armeli and Zion Merili.
The three wished Moshe health and longevity, and at the end of the meeting, the players gave him the team shirt and scarf, as a personal gift, a gift from the Maccabi Haifa club.
The excited Moshe thanked the actors in tears for the visit, which he wished, and for the mayor - for her assistance in fulfilling the moving gesture.
Haifa Mayor Einat Klish Rotem: "It is exciting to meet Moshe, who maintains optimism and a sense of humor despite the terrible year he went through. I was happy to mediate between him, as a die-hard fan, and Maccabi Haifa You can come to Maccabi's game, I'll come with you. "
Zion Merrilli: "Thanks to people like Moshe, we live in this country. I meet a lot of Haifa fans, of all ages, and I get excited every time to hear and see their immense love for the green club."
