Bundesliga: FC Augsburg bus driver is apparently hit with a headbutt

A scandal broke out before FC Augsburg's home game against Frankfurt: According to the police, a stadium steward allegedly physically injured the FCA team bus driver. The man had to go to the hospital.

During the Bundesliga game between FC Augsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt there was excitement off the pitch.

The police in Augsburg confirmed that there was an argument between the bus driver of the Augsburg team bus and an employee of the security service.

The bus driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to the "Augsburger Allgemeine", there was a dispute and physical violence between a security guard and the bus driver.

The bus driver was hit with a headbutt.

Police said no other people were involved.

Both men are not FCA employees.

The driver is an employee of an external bus company.

According to his own statements, Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl was not aware of the events before the game.

He explained that at the press conference after the game.

In the Bundesliga, FCA and Eintracht drew 1-1.

The goals were scored by Daichi Kamada (22nd minute) for Frankfurt and Michael Gregoritsch (38th) for Augsburg.
