Novak Djokovic lost
his match against Australian justice.
This Sunday, three judges of the Federal Court rejected the appeal of the tennis world number one against his expulsion, and this a few hours before the start of the Australian Open, which the world number one
cannot therefore argue.
As a reminder, Novak Djokovic had been blocked on his arrival in Australia on January 5, and placed for the first time in administrative detention.
The Serb, who contracted Covid-19 in December, had hoped for an exemption to enter the country without being vaccinated, but the authorities did not accept this explanation.

The Australian government then suffered a humiliating setback on January 10, when a judge blocked the player's deportation, reinstated his visa and ordered his immediate release.
Before a new twist on January 14: the Australian immigration minister once again canceled his visa, arguing that the player, who had not been vaccinated, represented “a risk to the health and safety of the Australian population, d 'part of the Australian population and (…) one or more persons'.
While waiting for this Sunday's hearing, Novak Djokovic had gone back to the Park Hotel, the basic comfort detention center where he had already spent several days last week.
