The first house of the African Championship came to an end tonight (Monday) with two games in which the finalists were determined - Cameroon and Burkina Faso.

Gary Rodriguez who came in as a substitute at the half-time break equalized for Cape Verde in the 53rd minute and set up a 1-1 draw at the end.
Burkina Faso finished 1-1 with Ethiopia and advanced to the quarterfinals from second place at home.
Cape Verde maintained its chances of rising from third place, while Ethiopia finished its part in the championship with just one point.
