Benjamin Bonzi, 65th in the world, had a dazzling start Monday in the 1st round of the Australian Open in Melbourne where he beat the German Peter Gojowczyk (87th) 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 in 1h34.
The Frenchman, who is taking part in the Australian Major for the first time at the age of 25, will face the Russian Karen Khachanov (30th) or the American Denis Kudla (109th) in the next round.
