As predicted: TS Jahn Munich was a size too big for the Bavarian League basketball team from ESV Staffelsee.
The Murnauer clearly lost with 52:111.
Murnau -
The opponent hits the basket only moderately, the referees decide in the tricky scenes per Murnau, the guests start their game year 2022 not well rested: All these factors should have happened on Saturday so that ESV Staffelsee had a chance against TS Jahn Munich had.
But it was not like that.
Accordingly, Andreas Mayr's debut as coach of the Murnau Bayernliga basketball team was clearly lost with 52:111.
Good initial phase of the ESV
"You could have predicted the course of the game in exactly the same way," emphasized Mayr after the game.
The roles were clearly assigned.
The gymnastics from Munich dominate the league at will, actually only has TV Traunstein as a real opponent.
And so the Murnauer quickly degenerated into a pawn for the Munich team.
After third one it was already hopeless 6:27 from the point of view of the hosts.
ESV coach Mayr saw a strong initial phase for his men.
"The first five minutes were really good." But then the referees decided in favor of the TS in a few situations, and the ESV missed the important rebound several times.
"That was poison for us."
Individual class of the gymnastics more and more visible
In addition, the class of the provincial capitals became more and more visible.
In particular, those of build-up player Philipp Bode and shooting guard Benjamin Voit.
"In his head, Bode is two steps faster than anyone else on the field," emphasizes Mayr.
Since Bode is not one of the most accurate, the ESV had him thrown.
But the builder preferred to look for his teammates and often found Voit.
"And he had an incredible day." At the end of the game, the 19-year-old had scored a total of 39 points, 18 of them from the three-point line.
So gradually the second violent bankruptcy in a row (64:89 against Traunstein in the previous week) took shape.

After the final siren, Mayr quickly looked ahead and won over the two hearty claps in a positive way.
Firstly, the performances of Quentin Brugger (16 points) and Aaron Moroff.
On the other hand: “I think the game plan was an advantage for us.
We are now hardened, now comes the reality.” It is called TSV Jahn Freising, bottom of the table and more in the weight class of Murnau.
