Turnaround in the Corentin Tolisso case?

FC Bayern may want to extend the Frenchman's contract - and thus prevent a free transfer.

Munich – Corentin Tolisso* has been a potential sales candidate at Bayern for some time.

But despite all the reports and speculation about an impending move, the Frenchman is still in Munich - and suddenly really important again.

Tolisso's contract ends in the summer.

Bayern are now apparently considering a contract extension.

Coco Tolisso was in the 4-0 win in Cologne on Saturday after his corona infection in the starting XI.

With a strong performance in central midfield and the remarkable goal to make it 2-0, the French world champions did self-promotion - and showed that they can be relied on.

In the absence of the injured Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich, who was in demand at right-back, Tolisso stepped into the breach.

Tolisso switched to the Isar in 2017 as a record transfer for 41.5 million euros.

Tolisso is now more in demand than ever as a substitute for Leon Goretzka, who is struggling with injuries. The German national player wants to fight his complicated patellar tendon problems in rehab. After three weeks, a balance should be drawn, a comeback is currently a long way off. Tolisso, who is very much appreciated by coach Julian Nagelsmann, can then continue to draw attention to himself.

However, the 27-year-old was plagued by many injuries himself in the past, which would speak against staying at Säbener Straße.

Tolisso missed 90 Bundesliga games in his four and a half years on the Isar, 155 would have been possible.

FC Bayern also have Marcel Sabitzer and Marc Roca up their sleeves in midfield.

With Gladbach's Denis Zakaria, Bayern are apparently already dealing with a successor to Tolisso.
