Munich/Zurich – So now FIFA can vote again! The world footballer will be honored in Zurich on Monday. Will he be called Robert Lewandowski* again or will Lionel Messi crash in between, as he did at the Ballon d'Or gala? In view of the fact that the Pole in the FC Bayern jersey continues to bomb unhindered, there really shouldn't be any other winner.

However, teammate Thomas Müller of all people has his doubts about Lewy being crowned world footballer again.

"We always only have the perspective from Germany because we deal with the Bundesliga," said the 32-year-old scorer king of Munich, but Lewandowski has "positioned himself well" over the past few months.

FCB captain Manuel Neuer sees it differently.

"He has the blessing of us players that he wins," said the national goalkeeper, who has been nominated for the world goalkeeper election.

Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann said of Lewandowski: "Hopefully he wins the title he deserves."
