Egyptian Mayar Sherif called out the first round of the Australian Open after losing to Britain's Heather Watson in the match that took place between them today.
Sharif lost to Watson by a set to two, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2.
Sherif is the first Egyptian player to appear in the first major tennis tournaments, directly through the main round, without entering the qualifiers.
