In addition, reporter Eric Pincus referred in a report by the "Bleacher Report" to Abdia's status at the club and noted that "a number of teams in the league are following Danny Abdia due to the congestion in the forward position".
According to the report, Detroit forward Jeremy Grant is still wanted by the Wizards, and now it only remains to be seen whether Abdia will be included in that trade.
Either way, assistant coach Joseph Blair explained at the press conference: "I have nothing against Danny, I love him, he is an amazing person who works hard all the time. "Danny always wants to play, and that's the most understandable to all of us. I'm sure he's now going to practice now and throw in the basket. He's sure to work even harder to prove he deserves minutes. He's a great guy.
