Egypt booked the ticket to qualify for the final of the African Nations Cup, currently being held in Cameroon, after defeating the Sudanese team with a goal for free at the end of Group D.
Mohamed Abdel Moneim scored for the Egyptian team in the 35th minute after several attempts by the Pharaohs on the Sudanese goal.
The Egyptian team, led by coach Carlos Queiroz, won the group runner-up with 6 points and will face the leaders of Group E.
Meanwhile, the Sudan national team bid farewell to the tournament after winning one point, led by coach Burhan Tiye.
