Borussia Dortmund was eliminated in the DFB Cup against second division FC St. Pauli.

Afterwards, BVB captain Marco Reus is thin-skinned – like Thomas Müller once was.

Hamburg - Football and emotions simply belong together.

Whether it's the coach beaming with joy after a win or - in the other case - the disappointed star who has to explain the defeat.

For the fans and followers in front of the TV, it's usually a small highlight.

Especially in the DFB Cup!

There was another case like this when Borussia Dortmund lost the cup at FC St. Pauli.

Marco Reus was asked about the defeat after the game at Millerntor.

ARD reporter Valeska Homburg wanted to know the state of mind of the BVB captain.

"Now you are no longer in the cup, in the league Bayern have rushed a bit, in the Champions League they are out.

Yeah, that's not so great at first, is it?" she asked.

It should have been clear to everyone that Reus did not answer this question with a broad grin.

But it was surprising that the BVB star snapped at the reporter like that.

"Where are Bayern now?" Reus wanted to know from Homburg: "Six points, right!

Visibly disappointed, Reus continued: "We have to let that sink in first.

We missed a huge chance to win the cup again.

That's very bitter right now." As the reigning cup winners, the early exit against the leaders of the 2nd division was of course a setback after the promising start to the year for the black and yellow.

But wait a minute!

Early cup out, stinky football star and Valeska Homburg - wasn't there something?

Almost exactly a year ago, Thomas Müller leathered against the ARD woman.

The reason was the defeat of FC Bayern in the DFB Cup at Holstein Kiel on penalties.

At that time, the FCB star thought that the ARD reporter had laughed after the cup embarrassment, which is why there was almost a scandal and Müller whispered in the direction of Homburg: "Of course you laughed!" The action made waves, shortly afterwards he apologized the national player with a post on Instagram with the reporter: "Valeska Homburg, we both could have done that a little better - no offense," wrote Müller.

So now Reus, who went to Homburg after a cup defeat.

So it remains to be said that life as an ARD reporter in embarrassing cup defeats is really not easy.

The good thing: BVB and Bayern are out, so things should be a lot more relaxed for Homburg in the quarter-finals...
