In the day that has passed since Mimar left, the two leading candidates for the position were Haim Sylves and Guy Luzon, while another candidate, Shlomi Dora, would only turn to Sakhnin if she encountered a rejection from the first two.
Sylvester will make his debut on the lines on Sunday in a home game against MS.

For Sylves, this is the fourth stop in the Premier League, having previously also coached Hapoel Raanana, Kiryat Shmona and Hapoel Haifa.
The 46-year-old coach's resume includes 190 games in the Premier League, with his balance standing at 61 wins, 50 draws and 79 losses.
The new coach's task now will be to secure a place in the top playoffs.
With eight more rounds left to finish the regular season, Sakhnin is ranked sixth, but with only one point more than seventh place leading to the bottom playoffs.
