Will he get a gold medal for Germany at the Olympics?

Johannes Ludwig has proven his skills several times this season.

Munich – He did it before, in Pyeongchang in 2018, he wants to do it again in Beijing in 2022.

The gold medal in tobogganing is again the number one goal for Johannes Ludwig this year, even if he has another success to celebrate.

Ludwig won the overall World Cup - for the first time at the age of 35.

The old master can hardly believe it, as the winter sports enthusiast writes on Instagram.

With regard to the Olympics, this is at least a good sign for Germany, other lugers are also in a good mood.

"That I can experience that again," Ludwig begins his statement.

“My first overall World Cup victory of my career.

Unbelievable”, he is over the moon.

Ludwig has won a lot, now finally the overall World Cup.

In 2006 he made his debut in the adult competition and in January 2022 his dream came true.

No wonder he's so blown away by his performance.

To top off all the jubilation, he clinched victory in his home town of Oberhof in Thuringia - with a track record.

Felix Loch, third overall in the World Cup and three-time Olympic champion, and Max Langenhan, 22-year-old youngster and U23 world champion 2021, are possible candidates.

But of course the international competition for the Latvian Kristar Aprajods, the Italian Dominik Fischnaller or the Austrian Wolfgang Kindl is strong.
